Stellantis said the tasks will be insourced to the Warren Truck Assembly Plant using existing resources, without new hires.

Union leaders noted workers are losing jobs due to production changes and uncertainty, and efforts are underway to connect them with other opportunities. While significant, the layoffs do not trigger federal WARN Act requirements, according to the company’s filing.

The closure highlights the risks of over-reliance on a single client and poses a blow to local employment.
